Greetings:
I am getting over my trepidation about beginning the blog. In some ways, I don’t know that I have that much to say. But, the tradition of the President’s blog began a couple of years ago, so here goes.
Several interesting things are happening in the Atlanta Chapter which will improve communication with members and add value to your membership in the Atlanta chapter.
We have subscribed to the Constant Contact service for improving our emails to members. The templates are still in development. The chapter update, meeting notices, and other special notices will be mailed through Constant Contact.
We are working on making the Employment site more user-friendly and adding some much needed administrative tools. I encourage everyone to check the Employment site (http://jobs.stcatlanta.org) regularly.
We are working on the details of the 2008 Competition. Watch for details of that soon.
Further into the future, we are looking forward to hosting the Summit in May of 2009 here in Atlanta.
On August 14th, we have a Lunch-n-Learn titled “How the Wiki Was Won” hosted by Aon eSolutions in Marietta. The response has been outstanding, there well maybe standing room only at the presentation. Details on the STC Atlanta website.
For what it’s worth,
Howard
